Starr’s Mill’s Jacob Nails won the Saint James Tournament this past weekend where he received his second qualifying bid to the Tournament of Champions.
Jacob Nails of Starr’s Mill High School is the varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate champion of this year’s Raymond B. Furlong Invitational Forensic Tournament at Saint James High School. He defeated Will McGrew of Benjamin Franklin High School in the final round on a 3-0 decision.
This was a triumphant weekend for the Nails family, as Jacob’s younger sister Lexi Nails was the novice LD champion this weekend, having defeated Prattville High School’s Robert Furlong on a 3-0 decision in the final round.
