Fourteen students from six schools reached elimination rounds at the St. Marks School of Texas’ Heart of Texas Invitational. Woodward Academy’s Jason Sigalos and Rahim Shakoor defeated a tough team from Illinois to claim the Championship!

On their route to the Championship, they defeated another Georgia school in semifinals- Stratford Academy’s Hemanth Sanjeev and Andrew Jones. A very impressive performance for underclassmen at one of the nation’s top tournaments.

Receiving qualifying legs to the 2012 Tournament of Champions were Pace Academy’s Lauren Sukin & Brian Klarman and Dunwoody’s Robert Galerstein & Haley Hopkins. Both teams were knocked out in the octofinal round – placing them in the top sixteen out of over 100 teams competing.

Reaching the double octofinal round were three teams – Pace Academy’s Jordan Epstein & Victor Skenderi, Chattahoochee’s Will Caplan & Viveth Karthikayan, and Westminster’s Robel Worku and Willy Xiao.

Congratulations to all the teams that competed.
